At Brut, we believe architecture begins with listening. Every project is born from a real need, a specific place, and conditions that must be understood.

Our way of working is based on being present from the start, accompanying each step, from the idea to the finished building. For us, empathy is also a way of designing.

Empathy with people
We listen before proposing. We clarify doubts and explain each step clearly so decisions can be made with care and without rush.
We respect each client’s budget and seek coherent solutions, caring about both design and feasibility. We prefer close, honest relationships, staying available at every stage of the project.

Empathy with place
We are a studio with our feet firmly on the island, operating in Mallorca for over 30 years. We observe the surroundings, the climate, and local materials, ensuring each project fits its context and the way of life of those who will inhabit it. We are committed to sustainable and respectful solutions.

We call ourselves Brut for what it means to be on site, among dust and concrete, and as a reference to the local dish: dense, layered, using what is at hand combined with knowledge passed down through generations. This is how we understand architecture: rooted in place, designed with intention, adaptable, honest, and enduring.

Empathy with the construction process
Brut also speaks of building and craft. We believe the architect’s presence on site is essential.
We like to be there, talking with tradespeople and solving issues in real time. We design with clear details and value the work of those who build, caring for the process because that is where everything takes shape.
